WALES – Lakeside Chapter 60, Order of the Eastern Star, will meet at the Grange-Masonic Hall, 322 Centre Rd., at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 9. Master Masons and fathers will be honored.

At the initiation on April 29, the following guests exemplified: Betty J. Perkins, past matron, Pine Cone Chapter 26, as conductress; Esther Jean, Pioneer Chapter 11, as Ruth; and Delora Farrington, past matron, Abenaki 116, as Esther.

During the recent “Legacies: Winter Wonderland Session” of the Grand Chapter of Maine, OES, held in Presque Isle, the Lakeside Chapter was given a Vision Achievement Award for initiating members and won the Small Chapter Trophy division. The chapter also received the fourth green and red star for their Eastern Star Training and Religious Leadership Certificate for fundraising. The ESTARL awards are open to any second-year student in the religious field. The scholarship is unique to the Order and benefits members and non-members.
