Belly dancers at Holly’s
Holly’s Own Deli and Restaurant recently initiated a night of entertainment featuring local musicians and Middle Eastern dancers, as well as authentic cuisine. Among the dancers is Anne “Anabee” Beal, above. She has taken dance lessons for more than five years and has taught belly dance classes in Lewiston-Auburn for the past six months. Drumming will kick off the show, followed by performances by the band Okbari of Portland and a handful of local belly dancers. Entertainment will be from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. outdoors on the patio, weather-permitting. Reservations recommended; call 333-3041. Similar shows have been scheduled for July 25 and Aug. 22.
