JACKSON, N.H. (AP) – New Hampshire police say a man was killed after his vehicle collided with a moose on Route 16 south of Pinkham Notch.
Police Chief Karl Meyers says 49-year-old Don Leborgne of Gorham, was pronounced dead at the scene Friday night and his Ford convertible Mustang was totaled in the collision, The Conway Daily Sun reported. Leborgne’s wife, Valerie, suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The moose died upon impact with the car.
Meyers said there have been a number of moose and vehicle collisions this spring.
