HARRISON – The chairman of the Board of Selectman was unseated Tuesday after an unsuccessful bid for re-election.

William Winslow, who serves on the town’s Planning Board, Comprehensive Plan Committee and Mooring Committee, was elected to a three-year term on the Board of Selectmen with 238 votes. Lisa Villa, who has served one term and was last year’s Democratic candidate for the District 13 State House race, was returned to the board with 184 votes.

Chairman Scott C. Andrews, the town’s fire chief and six-year member of the board, came in third with 145 votes. Colleen Densmore, who had dropped out of the race but remained on the ballot, had 36 votes.

In the race for two three-year Planning Board seats, Kevin LaPlante was elected with 193 votes and Shirley Davis with 188 votes. Claudia Hodgson came in third with 148 votes.

Mary Ann Crowell was chosen for a five-year term on the Appeals Board with 270 votes in an uncontested race. Albert Lisowski was elected to a three-year SAD 17 school board position with 21 write-in votes; Ann Macro was chosen for a one-year SAD 17 seat with 23 write-in votes.
