TURNER – SAD 52 Adult and Community Education is offering a wide variety of classes for the summer.

Guitar lessons will begin Monday, June 29; private and small group guitar lessons will be available. The instructor and students will decide on times and groups. Students will need a guitar and picks.

French for Beginners II and French for Beginners III will start Monday, July 6, and Spanish for Beginners II and Spanish for Beginners IV will begin Tuesday, July 7.

Exploring Art through Clay will commence July 7. Students can make unique pieces for practical purposes or whimsical creations. Students will complete a hands-on approach to learning about pottery, using processes that include slab work, hand-building, textures and attachments. Bisque-fired pieces will be decorated using a variety of techniques.

Dog obedience classes will start Wednesday, July 8. Correction and behavior problems will be offered. Rabies shots must be current.

On July 8, a beading basics class will create a crystal and pearl bracelet with awareness ribbon charm.

Reiki Level II will start Thursday, July 9. The second degree of Reiki consists of learning in-absentia healing or long-distance healing. Participants learn additional symbols and receive their second degree attunement, increasing their channeling ability.

On Saturday, July 11, class participants will turn a teacup into a pincushion. Everything is provided to make the craft.
