Rebekah Lodge

AUBURN – Liberty Rebekah Lodge 94 will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, June 15, in the recreation room at the Odd Fellows and Rebekahs Home, 85 Caron Lane, for the second nomination of officers. It will be the last meeting before summer recess. Prior to the meeting, members will meet at 5:30 p.m. at 99 Restaurant, the choice this year for the annual outing.

Lay program

LEWISTON – The Blessed Margaret of Castello Dominican Chapter will have a program for those interested in being a Lay Dominican on Saturday, June 13, at the Holy Family School on Sabattus Street. The program will begin with prayer and from 1 to 3 p.m., members of the chapter will present information.

Benefit ride

TOPSHAM – “Ridin’ Steel,” a motorcycle television program on WPME, has announced its first annual motorcycle ride to Laconia, N.H., to benefit the injured soldiers returning home to Maine from Iraq. They will be joined by eight-time Playboy model and former Miss Sturgis, Debbi Davids.

Davids and the “Ridin’ Steel” crew will tour local establishments on Saturday, June 13. They will be at Woody’s Performance Center in Topsham from 9 to 11 a.m. and at Cuddy’s Tavern in Brunswick from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Davids will be signing photographs and taking pictures and there will be live music and giveaways.

The group will leave for Laconia at 9 a.m. Sunday, June 14, from Cuddy’s Tavern. Those interested in joining the escort on Saturday should contact the program at www.ridinsteel.com.

Bridge results

LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Social Bridge Club met on June 8 at the Multi-Purpose Center. A six-table Howell movement was enjoyed.

Finishing first in flight A were: Mary Leahy and Les Buzzell; second, Dick Allen and Richard Balian; third in A/first in B and C, Cynthia and Bill Clifford.

Finishing second in flight B were: Eileen Potvin and Della Starbird; third in B/second in C, Eleanor and Lindy Wigton; third in C, Jackie Descene and Marie Jean Lesperance.
