MEXICO – The Falcons summer hoop camp will be running from June 22 to July 3 at Mountain Valley Middle School for students in grades 2 thru 8. The camp is open to any area youngster that has the desire to learn more about the game of basketball, regardless of previous experience. The goal of camp is to fulfill the individual expectation of the participants, whether it is playing in the championship game at the Cumberland County Civic Center or engaging in healthy exercise and friendly competition.

The camp will be broken up into grade levels, and different aspects of the game will be taught at the different levels. Grades 2-3 will attend from 8 to 9 a.m. Grades 4-5 will attend from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Grades 6-8 will attend from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

The idea behind the camp is to give campers a better understanding of the game and for every camper to look back on their experience and say that they are a better basketball player than when they started. Registrations will be taken up to and on the first day of the camp. If you plan on signing up on the day of the camp, please show up 30 minutes early. For more information, contact Rick White at 357-1313.
