I was born in 1964 and spent my early years there. I remember Mrs. Dubuc, the first-grade teacher; Mrs. Robinson, my kindergarten teacher and Mr. Scribner, the principal. My favorite memories are of the playground and major snowfalls, fairs we had on the playground and in the lunch room.
Kids loved to get pizza for lunch and got to ride their bikes to school in the spring. The playground with the tilt-whirl was a blast. I also remember making Thanksgiving decorations, hats, learning adding and subtracting, and how nervous I was the first day. There were a lot of good teachers.
I remember coming back during my nursing school years and after graduation surprising Mrs. Dubuc, and seeing how tiny those desks and chairs were. A lot of fond memories.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Cohen
