Maier
LEWISTON — The wedding of Rachel Irene Langlais and Andrew Allen Maier was held at 11 a.m. on Aug. 23 at Holy Cross Church in Lewiston. The Rev. Lionel Chouinard officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Maier is the daughter of Robert and Sylvia Langlais of Lewiston. Mr. Maier is the son of Marie Maier of Freeport and the late Thomas Maier.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Louise Fillebrown, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Taylor Fillebrown, niece of the bride, Louise Levesque, Pauline Veinote and Denise Mulherin, friends of the bride, and Amy Gagnon, cousin of the bride.
Ralph Flanders, friend of the bridegroom, served as best man. Ushers were Travis Maier, son of the bridegroom, Cullen Williams, Mark Cronin and Michael Brewer, friends of the bridegroom, and Adam Fillebrown, brother-in-law of the bride. Zachary Fillebrown, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.
Readings were done by Elaine Chapman and Carrie MacDonald, cousins of the bride. The offertory was presented by Darryl and Jean Kotchka.
A reception followed at the Carriage House in Lewiston, after which the couple traveled on a cruise to Bermuda.
The bride is a 1989 graduate of Bates College and is program manager for MaineGeneral Medical Center.
The bridegroom is a 1984 graduate of Husson College and is a programmer at L.L. Bean.
