WATERFORD – A community-wide event in support of Camp To Belong Maine will take place from 10 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 20, at Camp Wigwam, 57 Bear Pond Road.

The Family Fun Day activities will include a barbecue, arts and crafts, climbing wall and games. Any child wanting to be entered into a drawing for a special gift is asked to bring a new unwrapped birthday gift for a girl or boy age 8 and up. A silent auction will also be held.

Cost will be $10 for adults; $5, ages 6 to 17; free, children 5 and under. Visit www.camptobelongmaine.org or call 780-5868 to order tickets.

The day is planned for fundraising and awareness of Camp To Belong Maine, which takes place at Camp Wigwam. State budget cuts have impacted fundraising for the sibling connection program for youth in the foster care system and other out-of-home care.

Camp To Belong Maine was launched in 2004 and has reunited more than 250 siblings who have been separated when placed in the public foster care system. Brothers and sisters come together for fun, emotional empowerment and sibling connection.

Camp To Belong Maine is brought to campers by Adoptive and Foster Families of Maine, a Maine based 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to provide enduring family relationships and community connections for young people in foster care.
