RUMFORD – Rumford Hospital, in conjunction with the Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing, will offer a free workshop for cancer patients, survivors and caregivers from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Thursday, June 25.
“Exploring the Transformative Power of Sound through Vibroacoustic Table Therapy, Crystal Sound Bowls and Tuning Forks” will introduce sound therapy and the positive healing effects it has on the body.
Patti Truman, a certified hypnotherapist, sound therapist and Reiki master, will be the workshop facilitator. Her time studying energy anatomy under author and medical intuitive Carolyn Myss has created a foundation for her work.
In addition to learning about the sound or vibroacoustic table, participants will experience a sound bowl session merged with light meditation to relax body and mind.
The workshop will be held in room 357 at Rumford Hospital. For more information or to register, call the Dempsey Center at 795-8250 or 1-877-336-7287.
