AUBURN – The Auburn-Lewiston YMCA will have an open house at their Camp Connor day camp facility from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 20. This is the 43rd season of the camp, and the open house will gives families the opportunity to meet the staff and tour the facility.
Camp Connor is owned and operated by the YMCA and is located on Lower Range Pond in Poland. It is for youngsters age 6 to 13 and will run for nine weeks of the summer, with session one set to begin Monday, June 22.
The YMCA provides daily transportation to and from the camp at designated pick-up and drop-off points in the Lewiston and Auburn area.
The camp offers a main lodge, large playing field, wooded areas, “adventure island” and a waterfront. Activities include archery, arts and crafts, boats and canoes, outdoor life, youth sports, team building, C.A.T.C.H. (Coordinated Approach To Children’s Health), cooperative games, swim lessons, free swim, theme weeks, overnights, field trips and special events.
