Martel School fourth-graders Tyler Conn, left, and Patric Racine dance in the parking lot of Shaw’s in Lewiston Tuesday afternoon with other members of the Lewiston school’s fourth, fifth and sixth grades. The students, as well as teachers and other staff at the school, were joined by several Shaw’s employees. More than 130 students took place in the Wellness Dance. Students practiced five dances during the school year. Started by fifth-grade teacher Lisa Chasse, the program is an effort to fight obesity and help everyone at the school exercise. Nearly every day during recess, most of the students took part in the program.
