WINTHROP – Monmouth fell to 0-3 on the season with a 7-4 defeat against Madison in an American Legion Zone II baseball game Tuesday.

Nate Billington led Madison (1-0) with a single and a double and scored a pair of runs. Jason Gourley added a pair of hits.

Tim Levesque had two singles and stole a base for Monmouth, while Tyler Cobb hit a single, scored a run and stole a base. Josh Martin was the losing pitcher, while Craig Vigue picked up the win.
