LEWISTON – The Lewiston School Nutrition Program, in cooperation with the city of Lewiston Recreation Program, will offer a free summer food service program for children. Breakfast and lunch will be served on weekdays at the following locations:

Kennedy Park, Hillview Apartments, River Valley (Tall Pines) and Camp Smiles.

Meals will be served June 22 through Aug. 14 at park sites. Meals must be eaten on site, as participants are not allowed to remove food from the parks or playgrounds.

On rainy days, the children will be served at the Multi-Purpose Center. No meals will be served on Friday, July 3.

This is the 22nd year for the program, which continues to be a joint effort of the two Lewiston departments, who expect to serve 400 children daily.

Free meals are provided to preschool children to 18. For more information, contact the Lewiston Public School Nutrition Office at 795-4106.
