OXFORD – The Keybank Relay For Life Team will hold a Chinese auction/bake sale on Saturday, June 20, at the Oxford Recreation Center.

There will also be a 50/50 raffle. Bidding will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. and the auction will begin at 1 p.m. All proceeds benefit ACS Relay For Life of Oxford Hills.

Sunday service

PARIS – Trinity Lutheran Church, 34 Buckfield Road, South Paris invites all to attend the Sunday, June 21, service at 9 a.m., followed by coffee, refreshment and fellowship.

Initiative speaker

NORWAY – Woody Thompson of the Maine Geological Survey will talk about the glacial origins of the Crooked River Watershed at 7 p.m. Monday, June 22, as part of the Crooked River Initiative Series presented by the Western Foothills and Loon Echo Land Trusts. The program will be held at the Norway Memorial Library. A $5 donation will be accepted.

MECHANIC FALLS – The Oxford Historical Society June meeting will be held at a different location.

The session will take place at 7 p.m. Friday, June 26, at the Silver Spurr,

Following a short business meeting, members and visitors will tour the Maine Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum at the Silver Spurr. Refreshments will be served after.

Rummage sale

OXFORD – The Oxford Historical Society food and rummage sale will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 27, at the Kay House Museum, Pleasant Street. The museum will be open for tours.

Church supper

BOLSTERS MILLS – A chicken pie supper will be held Saturday, June 20, at Bolsters Mills United Methodist Church.

The first seating will be at 5 p.m. and the second at 6, with a third to follow as needed. Cost is $7, adults; $3, children under 12. The building is handicapped accessible and air conditioned.

Supper will include chicken pie, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetable, rolls, homemade dessert and beverages.

Reservations will be accepted between 9 a.m. and noon Saturday by confirmation at 583-9024. Do not leave a message.

United Parish

STONEHAM – Oxford County United Parish will have guest speaker Dianne Wood at the 10 a.m. service on Sunday, June 21. Rich Wood will entertain with special renditions. The service will be held at Stoneham Church.

Lutheran service

PARIS – Trinity Lutheran Church, 34 Buckfield Road, South Paris will again be the site of an annual Lutheran worship service in the Finnish language. It is set for 11 a.m. Sunday, June 28. In previous years the even has been in the afternoon.

A fellowship hour with coffee served will be held at 10 a.m. Henry Leino will be the presiding minister with his wife, Mirian, at the organ. Sulo Niskanen will be the assistant. The public is invited.
