CRESTVIEW, Fla. – Wayne E. Parkes, 73, was carried on angelic wings to the arms of his Heavenly Father, on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008.
He was born on Aug. 14, 1935, to George H. and Pauline E. (Paine) Parkes who preceded him in death.
Before retiring in 2002 due to health reasons, he was employed by BJ’s Wholesale Club distribution center in Franklin, Mass.
He loved country music and dancing. He was a member of the New England Country Music Club. He was also a member of the Brain Injury Connection and American Legion Post 184.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Alana (Dumas) Parkes of Crestview, Fla.; his brother, Ray Parkes of Norway; one stepson, Charles and wife, Tammy, Kirby of Clifton, Colo.; three stepdaughters and their husbands, Linda and Glenn Brown of Clifton, Colo., Dawn and Steven Dalpe of Grafton, Mass., and Melanie Monta of Crestview, Fla.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Very special thanks to Silvercrest Manor for all their loving and caring support. Wayne was well taken care of.
