BANGOR, Maine (AP) — Eight Maine Army National Guard troops who served as crew members aboard a C-12F Huron aircraft are returning home after a nine-month deployment in Iraq.
The soldiers from Operational Support Airlift Command are being welcomed at a homecoming Thursday in Bangor.
The C-12F is the military version of the Beechcraft Super King Air, a twin turboprop aircraft that can carry up to eight passengers and has a cargo capacity of 56 cubic feet.
