AUBURN – Rotary captured three recent wins in Auburn Suburban Little League Major Division softball.

Emily Schario pitched an outstanding game against Gee & bee, striking out eight and helping her own cause with a single. Maegan Chartier hit a triple, racked up two RBIs and scored a run. Ruby Cote and Johanna Cullenberg each hit single and added an RBI apiece. Bailey Flynn belted a double. Dinah Sterling and Chloe Dwinall each singled and scored two runs for Roatry. Olivia Paione, Sarah Hammond and Abby Roy each chipped in a run in a game that ended by virtue of the mercy rule.

Rotary moved on to an exciting 5-4 win over Pepsi. The teams swapped the lead several times. Hammond and Paione each singled and circled the bags with alert baserunning. Cullenberg brought in a run, and Ashley Augmen stole bases in the sixth inning to bring in the run that secured the win for Rotary.

Calli Murray and Lauren Freitas each chipped in a run apiece for Pepsi.

In the third contest, Rotary rolled past South Lewiston Team A, 16-3. Schario pitched two innings for Rotary (10-1) and made several strong plays in the field. Roy relieved, allowing two hits in her two innings of work. Chartier provided solid defense behind the plate.

Hammond smacked an inside-the-park home run for one of two runs to go with her two singles. Paione, Schario and Chartier singled and were responsible for three runs each. Kaylee Jipson brought in two runs.

In other ASLL softball action, Pacios Rausch extended its winning streak to nine games by defeating AEA, 18-7. Kimberly Cristina led the way, going 5-for-5 and scoring four runs. Piper Norcross and Morgan Creps each went 4-for-4. Michaela Nalley scored four runs, while Maddie Allen chipped in two hits and two runs. Sarah Legere pitched splendidly for Pacios. Julia Milks, Emma Allen and Destiny Levesque each played great defense.

ASLL Minor Baseball

AUBURN – ENEFCO picked up three straight victories in Auburn Suburban Little League Minor Division baseball.

Patrick Fogarty knocked in Seth Webster and Aidan Dollen-Oliveto with a double to score the tying and winning runs in an 11-10 walkoff win over Hammond Lumber. Dollen-Oliveto went 4-for-4 with a triple and two doubles for ENEFCO. Fogarty went 3-for-3 with a triple and two doubles. Webster scored four runs. Nathan Farnsworth was 2-for-2.

ENEFCO then outslugged Hudson Bus Lines, 12-10. Bobby Tremaine and Keegan Pelletier combined to score three runs. Nick Hathaway belted an inside-the-park home run for Hudson.

Dollen-Oliveto shined at the plate in an 18-6 win over M&P Auto, hitting three singles, a double and an inside-the-park homer.

Oliver Hall scored five runs, while Daniel Nalley chipped in four runs. Farnsworth went 3-for-3. Pelletier led off the game with a triple.
