BROWNINGTON, Vt. (AP) – A Brownington woman has been left in the dark thanks to thieves who stole solar panels from her front yard.
Police say a suspicious vehicle – a late model gray truck – was seen at the home on Willoughby Lake Road on Friday afternoon. Witnesses say a person in the truck was described as being a short man.
The victim relied on the solar panels for electricity. Replacing them is estimated to cost more than $1,600.
Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call Vermont State Police in Derby.
