Pasta dinner
LEWISTON – St. Mary’s Lots to Gardens will have an all-you-can-eat dinner buffet with whole-wheat pasta, local vegetables, vegetarian “crab” cakes, fresh salads and home baked deserts.
The dinner will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 19, at the Nutrition Center of Maine, 208 Bates St. Proceeds will help send the summer youth gardeners to the annual Rooted in Community Conference to be held in Portland this summer.
Admission to the dinner will be sliding scale, with a minimum donation of $3 each person and a suggested donation of $10 each person or $25 for families. For more information, contact Deacon Lasagna at [email protected] or 740-6378.
Yard sale delayed
GREENE – A yard sale to benefit Tommy’s Feral Feline Friends has been rescheduled. It will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, July 17 and 18, at 242 Sawyer Rd. Donations are still needed for the sale. Call Norm at 650-8374 to schedule a pick up time.
MSSM acceptance
WEST POLAND – Sable Sanborn, daughter of Wendy and George Sanborn of West Poland, has been accepted for fall enrollment to the Maine School of Science and Mathematics, Limestone. More information about the school is available at www.mssm.org.
Bridge play
LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on June 16 were as follows: first, Lue Bilodeau and Luke Merry; second, Roger Labbe and Larry Fortier; third, Nancy Lindgren and Linda Leotsakos; fourth, Jeanine Kivus and Martine Begert; fifth, Marta Clements and Richard Balian.
Winners at Schooner Estates on June 17 were: first, Jeanine Kivus and David Lock; second/third tie, Connie and Ron Reynolds with Richard Balian and Mike Quinn.
