Dear Sun Spots: With all this rain we have endured lately, I would like to find out about the law requiring drivers to turn on their headlights when their wipers are on. Is this in fact a law? I drive on Routes 9 and 125 daily and see numerous drivers in the torrential rain without their lights on and find it dangerous and inconsiderate at the least. Please drive safe and make yourself seen! Thanks. – Angela, Sabattus.

Answer:
According to the Maine Department of Transportation, it is the law that headlights must be on during the following times: when windshield wipers are in constant use, a half an hour after sunset, a half an hour before sunrise and when you cannot see 1,000 feet ahead.

Dear Sun Spots: I hope you can help me out, I need to know where I can sell some fur pieces. I’d like to find some place that would take them for a fair price. Thank you for any help you can give. – Maureen, Lewiston.

Answer:
Sun Spots only located dealers selling new furs. If there are any dealers locally, perhaps they would contact the column with their information.

Dear Sun Spots: I have a question for you. I have a few copied cassettes of many family members who since have passed. My question is, a few of the cassettes are broken, so they cannot be used. The tape is still in the cassette. Is there any way or anyone who can fix these so I can play them? Thank you. – No Name, No Town.
