RUMFORD – Funeral services for Lynden Clarke were held Friday at the Meader and Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Kelly Harvell of the Rumford United Methodist Church officiating. Musical selections were “Be Not Afraid,” “Man of the Hour” and “Just a Closer Walk With Thee.” Military honors were provided by the Maine Military Funeral Honors Program. Words of remembrance were given by Peter Clarke, grandson, and Jeffrey Clarke, son. A reception was held at Teena’s Restaurant after the funeral. Interment was at the Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Augusta.
