AUBURN – John R. Burkett II, 9 months, died unexpectedly on Thursday, June 18, at his residence in Auburn.

He was born in Lewiston on Aug. 28, 2008, the son of Susan E. Burkett and Kass Michaud.

John was a happy-go-lucky little boy who always had a smile. He brought a lot of joy to his family’s lives. He came into this life with wings and now uses them to fly above us to guide and protect us. His short life will always be remembered and missed.

Besides his parents of Auburn, he is survived by his twin brother, Jack Burkett, of Auburn; his devoted aunts, Stephanie Burkett and Krysteena Bolger, both of Poland, and Kasandra Walker of Lewiston; great-aunts, Tammy Watts of Florida, and Katie Burkett of Plymouth, Mass.; his loving grandparents, Kelli and Leroy Walker Jr., of Poland; and great-grandparents, Susan E. and John J. Burkett, of Plymouth, Mass., Theresa Ballbuena of Braintree, Mass., and Grace Pray of Auburn; an uncle, Andrew St. Pierre; first cousin, Alivia A. Burkett of Poland; second cousins, Matt and Haley Watts, of Florida, Cailyn Burkett of Plymouth, Mass., Noah and Julianna Burkett of Dorchester, Mass., and Devon Gabree of Dorchester, Mass.

He was predeceased by a great-uncle, John R. Burkett, of South Boston, Mass.; great-great-grandparents, Maryr and Robert F. Greene, of Boston, Mass., and Edward Blackie Burkett of Boston, Mass.
