AUGUSTA (AP) – Swine flu continues to spread in Maine with seven more cases
reported in the past four days.
Maine Center for Disease Control and
Prevention said Sunday that the tally of confirmed cases now stands at 50 among
state residents, and 11 for out-of-staters who tested positive while visiting
Maine.
Health officials say Maine is one of 11 states reporting
widespread flu activity.
The CDC says people with the swine flu do not
need to be tested and their illnesses are not included in the state count.
