MEXICO – As a part of the Mexico Library’s summer reading program on pirates, magician Scot Grassette will pull gold doubloons from thin air, perform miracles with a few short lengths of rope, cause a chosen card to mysteriously rise from a closed box, and use audience helpers to create magic.
Grassette has been performing magic for more than 30 years and has won several local and regional awards. He is the president of the Society of American Magicians Chapter 174, Portland, and is the leader of Maine’s Society of Young Magicians in Rumford.
For more information on the Young Magicians, contact Grassette at grassette@gwi.net.
Show time will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, at the Calvin Lyons Hall in the basement of the Mexico Town Office. Call the library at 364-3281 for details.
