DIXFIELD — These incidents
were handled recently by the Dixfield Police Department.
Theft/fraud
A member of the Dixfield Congregational
Church reported at 12:30 p.m. June 17 that someone had withdrawn
about $130 in church funds for purchases from a jeweler in March.
Police are investigating the matter. Whether the incident will be
considered theft or fraud will be determined by the identity of the
person who made the withdrawal. If that person is from within the
church without authorization, the incident would be considered fraud.
If the person is from outside the church, the incident would be theft.
Vandalism
An Averill Hill Road resident reported
at 5:48 p.m. June 20 that someone had poured gasoline into the oil
of their lawnmower. Police have a suspect.
