FARMINGTON – The Pine Tree League will hold its all-star festivities Saturday at Hippach Field. The 35-and-over game is set for 3:30 p.m. There will be a home run derby between games prior to the 34-and-under contest at 7 p.m.

St. Mary’s Golf Tourney at Martindale
AUBURN – St. Mary’s Health System will host its 12th-annual golf tournament Monday, June 29 at Martindale Country Club. This year’s event will feature an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start followed by a fun-filled day of golf, contests, prizes, food and more.
Proceeds from the tournament will be used to enhance the hospital’s emergency department. Sponsorship opportunities are still available. The tournament is filling up quickly. To register, call Mary at 777-8863 or email mellingwood@stmarysmaine.com.

Worthley Pond Associatin plans tournament
MEXICO – Worthley Pond Association is preparing for its third-annual WPA Golf Tournamenton August 8 at Oakdale Country Club. Local businesses will help sponsor the event and donate prizes.
This year’s tournament will include cash prizes for the winning teams and a $5,000 hole-in-one contest. In addition, there will be closest-to-pin and closest-to-line contests as well as a raffle.
Entry free is $25 and is payable at the course or by calling 364-3951. All net proceeds benefit Worthyley Pond Association activities, preservation of pond water quality and boat inspections.

Wescott featured guest at FCHN tournament
CARRABASSETT VALLEY – Franklin Community Health Network’s 22nd-annual Healthcare Golf Classic will be a two-day, two-tournament event at Sugarloaf Golf Club on Sunday, July 19 and Monday, July 20. Title co-sponsors are TD Banknorth and Broadlane.
Beneficiaries once again will be the Healthy Community Coalition and the Martha B. Webber Breast Care Center. Both programs are afffiliated with Franklin Commounity Health Network and provide health services to people in need.
The tournament is a four-person scramble, and anyone is welcome to participate as part of a team or as an individual (individuals who register will be assigned to teams needing members). Activities will begin with a noontime best-ball tournament on Sunday followed by a reception. On Monday, a continental breakfast for all players takes place, followed by 18 holes of tournament play, a luncheon, awards ceremony, and raffle. Teams may choose to participate both days or Monday’s tournament only.
Olympic champion snowboarder Seth Wescott will be a special guest on Monday. There are a variety of sponsorship opportunities for area businesses including platinum team sponsors, trophy sponsors, snack cart sponsors and hole sponsors.
