Dear Sun Spots: We appreciate this column. It’s very nice; keep up the good work. I was wondering if there is someone in the Lewiston-Auburn area who can transfer a 78 rpm record to a CD. My dad made this record a long time ago and we do not have a player that takes 78 records. Thanks for your help. — No Name, Lewiston.

Dear Sun Spots: I enjoy your column, and it is a must every day for me.
On Thursday, Oct. 8, the Scarlet O’Hatters, Red Hats of the Lisbon Falls area, have planned a bus trip to the historic Mt. Washington Resort located in the Bretton Woods of New Hampshire, a favorite place of poets, presidents and celebrities. The trip is $88 per person and includes bus, luncheon, tour of the hotel and foliage viewing. Bus pickup is Exit 80, Lewiston, at 8:30 a.m., return at 5:30 p.m. We have extra seats available, and you do not have to be a Red Hatter to come. If interested, call 353-2760, Addie Yenco. Thank you. — Addie, Lisbon Falls.

Those that came and attended our open house upstairs, we thank you. Elaine loves to show and tell our second-story museum. Norman and Elaine have done a fantastic job as curators, and the members really appreciate all they do.
We are having our annual indoor hall yard sale on Saturday, Aug. 1, and anyone wishing to donate clean, used goods (sorry no electronics or large appliances) please call Betty Jones at 674-2507 to make arrangements for pickup or delivery to the hall.
Thank you to the people who worked so hard for our annual Old Home Days weekend. You all did a fabulous job. Betty and I know the work is never-ending. Loved the fireworks. — Ted Jones, West Paris.
