Food program
AUBURN — The Auburn School Department will offer a free summer food service program for children.
Breakfast and lunch will be served weekdays Monday, June 29 through Friday, Aug. 21 at the following locations: Pettengill Park, East Auburn School, Sherwood Heights School, Park Avenue School and Spurwink School.
Meals must be eaten on site, as participants are not allowed to remove food from the sites. No meals will be served on Friday, July 3.
Free meals are provided to children up to age 18. Participants must sign up for the program. For more information, contact Paula Rouillard, food service director for Auburn Schools, at 333-6658.
Club open house
AUBURN — The
Taylor Pond Yacht Club, Yacht Club Drive, will have an open house from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 1. All are welcome to come tour the club and observe youth lessons in session. Refreshments will be served.
The club has 40 acres with 850 feet of shore frontage with a sandy beach and pine tree shaded picnic area. There are senior and junior clubhouses, two lighted tennis courts, swimming floats, a protected swimming area and sandy beach, dock, boat mooring area, screened porch, ball field and ample parking.
The club offers swimming, sailing and tennis lessons, which are open to the public with or without a membership.
