WALES — Lakeside Chapter 60, Order of the Eastern Star, will meet on Tuesday, July 14, for a supper to benefit the Eastern Star Training and Religious Leadership scholarship and to celebrate Friends Night. Supper will be at 6 p.m., at the Grange-Masonic Hall, 322 Centre Rd., followed by a meeting at 7 p.m. The guest will be Jerri Holt, general grand chapter committee member, ESTARL and past grand matron of Maine.
Members from Pioneer Chapter will bring desserts and members from Pine Cone Chapter will bring salads to supplement the main dishes supplied by Lakeside Chapter.
The supper is a fundraiser for the ESTARL scholarship. Each member will contribute $3 for the supper and the money will be shared among the three chapters. It will then be sent to the Grand Chapter of Maine to provide funds for the scholarships, which are open to any second-year student in the religious field. The scholarship benefits both members and non-members alike.
For more information, call Violet Gerber, secretary, at 375-2698 and leave a message.
At the last meeting, Cynthia Holbrook, p.m.; Jordan Witherell, p.p.; and Rodney Woodrum Jr., p.p.; were presented with their Rob Morris Jewels, as recognition for their participation in the Vision Committee’s Membership Program of the Grand Chapter of Maine.
