Louise G. Hedman Lee
1926 — 2009
KINGFIELD — Louise G. Hedman Lee, 83, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on June 28 after a brief battle with cancer.
The daughter of John P. and Hazel Story Hedman, Louise was born in Cambridge, Mass., on Feb. 12, 1926. She lived with her family in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Maine. She moved to Kingfield in July of 1965. It was here in Kingfield that she met the love of her life, Martin R. Sillanpaa.
Louise enjoyed spending time with her family and reading. She took pleasure in her pets, especially her little dog, King Louie. She was also an active member of the Pinpoint of Light Spiritualist Center in Canton.
She is survived by her three children, Michael Lee and his wife, Jill, of Hamilton, Mass., Frances Lee of Kingfield, and Christine and her husband, C.G. Brennecke, of Garner, .N.C. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Katherine B. Cook and her husband, Trad, Lee Brennecke, Alissa L. Mead and her husband, Ryan, Brianna L. Frost and her husband, Dan, and Timothy Lee; four great-grandchildren, Samuel Mead, Kaitlyn and Jack Cook, and Noah Frost; and a brother, Kenneth Hedman and his wife, Nancy.
Martin Sillanpaa predeceased her in January 2004.

highly. Also, our thanks to the nurses and personal care givers from
Androscoggin Home Health and Hospice. Each of you contributed so much
in letting her die with grace and dignity.
