BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) – A New York man, accused last July of selling fireworks that sparked a fire in Buffalo that damaged four buildings has been arrested again – for illegally selling fireworks from his vehicle.

Police say they found six boxes of commercial fireworks in Leon Sapp’s Jeep.

Sapp, who’s 50, was arrested Friday and charged with possession of fireworks.

Police say they found another 200 pounds of fireworks at Sapp’s home in the Town of Tonawanda.

A message left on Sapp’s home phone was not immediately returned.

In last year’s case, Sapp was charged with unlawful dealing with fireworks and endangering the welfare of a child. Authorities say the fireworks he sold were ignited by a 6-year-old boy.

The disposition of that case was not immediately known.
