POLAND — The wedding of Dawn-Marie Monk and Christopher Normand Raymond was held at 1 p.m. on Feb. 14 at the Apostolic Holiness Church in Poland. Pastor Lynn officiated at the ceremony. The theme of the wedding was “Valentine Love.”
Mrs. Raymond is the daughter of the late Laurence Monk and Nancy Wing. Mr. Raymond is the son of Normand Raymond of Detroit and Sylvia Raymond of Sabattus.
The bride, given in marriage by the father of the bridegroom, wore a white gown with red embellishment on the bodice, with rhinestones and sequins. The gown also featured a red train and she carried a bouquet of pink, red and white roses.
A cousin of the bridegroom, Denise Quirrion, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Elaine Deraps, Nancy Davidson and Jean Silva, friends. Amber Raymond, daughter of the bridegroom, was flower girl.
A friend of the bridegroom, Scott LaGasse, was best man. Ushers were Scott Girardin and Ronald Maczaro, friends, and Cory Raymond, son of the bridegroom.
A reception followed at the VFW Hall in Lisbon. The wedding song of the couple was “When I Said I Do” and was performed by Elaine Deraps and Scott LaGasse. A honeymoon is planned at a later date. The couple is residing in Lisbon.
The bride attended Old Orchard Beach schools and graduated from Lewiston High School in 1990.
The bridegroom is a 1993 graduate of Nokomis High School in Newport and has been employed at Hudson Bus Lines for 10 years.
