AUBURN — Relief pitcher Aaron Fenstermacher stranded the tying run on third base in the final inning to help Dixfield hang on for a 6-5 upset victory over Rogers Post on Sunday.

Dixfield (2-5) entered the final inning with a 6-4 lead, but Cody Goddard led off the inning with a solo home run off starter and winning pitcher Ryan Lafleur. Rogers continued to threaten before Fenstermacher retired the final batter.

An RBI single by Fenstermacher and a sacrifice fly by James Moulton in the fourth inning gave Dixfield a 6-3 advantage.

Goddard finished with three hits, while Cory Larue had two hiots for Rogers (6-4), which lost its third game in two days.
