Beverly A. Dolan
1931 – 2009

BOSTON, Mass. — Beverly Ann Dolan of 127 Webster St., Lewiston, died May 20, at Women’s Hospital in Boston, after a short battle with cancer.

She was born in Auburn, Sept. 9, 1931, the daughter of Elbert William and Germaine Blanche (Dutil) Emery. She graduated from Edward Little High School in 1949 and represented the state as Miss Maine in 1951.

She attended the Philadelphia Museum of Art School for two years. On Oct. 7, 1951, she married Raymond R. Driscoll at St. Joseph’s Church in Lewiston. In 1980, she married William Dolan.

After retiring from her job in Boston, she moved back to Maine to be near her daughter, Katherine. While retired, she enjoyed art shows and playing Bridge with various groups. She also enjoyed her weekly walks at the mall with her cousin, Jean Freeman.

She is survived by her children, Katherine Driscoll of Augusta and Paul Driscoll and wife, Sherry, of Winchester, Mass.; grandchildren, Jackson, Gavin and Addison Driscoll; granddaughter, Melissa and husband, Scott Freedman, of Beverly, Mass.; great-grandchildren, Samuel and Joseph Freedman; brothers, Lee Emery and wife, Claire, of Turner and Steve Moore of Gray; cousin, Jean Freeman of Gray; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Raymond; husband, William; an infant daughter, Maureen; a brother, Richard; and sister, Lynda Stanley.
