AUBURN — Robin Dow Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, at the Alden M. Gayton Post 31, American Legion, 426 Washington St. The board of directors will meet at 10 a.m.
There will be a bag lunch, with bingo played in the afternoon. Tickets for $4 will be on sale for the annual cookout to be held Wednesday, July 22.
Forty-four members were present at the meeting on June 24, with President Virginia Houston presiding. Welcomed back after an absence of some time were Kaye Hewison, Shirley Thiriet, Evelyn Sawin and Mildred Brainerd. Welcomed as new members were Clara Hahn and Donald and Jeanne Doyon.
Jeanne Doyon, who is also a former member, will be taking reservations for trips for Robin Dow. Trips being offered are a day trip to Tribute to Elvis, Sept. 30, $55; Bangor Slots, two shows; the Hinckley Factory; and to the Lobster Festival at Lincoln, N.H., $63.
For a trip to Foster’s Lobster House, York, July 31, reservations may be made with Evelyn Sawin at Robin Dow meetings or phone her at 998-4577. Cost is $50. She is also running trips.
One does not have to be a member of Robin Dow to attend any of the trips.
Birthdays for June were acknowledged. Attendance prize winners were Virginia Trafford and Mary Tyler; pot of gold, Nancy Roy, Shirley Huntley and Mildred Brainerd; mystery prize, Mary Tyler and Betty Hebert.
