William P. Di’Nardi
1949 – 2009

LEWISTON — William P. Di’Nardi, 59, passed away July 6, with his family at his side, after a long cancer-related illness.

He was born Dec. 30, 1949. He grew up in Waterville and Winslow. He was an illustrator draftsman naval adviser in Vietnam and later served as a specialist in the Maine National Guard in Germany.

An artist by vocation, Bill took courses at UMA and graduated from USM with a fine arts degree in 1993. He was accomplished in many art-related mediums, but most recently preferred watercolors and acrylics.

He was also a musician who enjoyed playing the tuba. He treasured the times as his son grew that he volunteered with the King Middle School Band in Portland. Later he was involved in the Deering High Band Boosters as they supported the marching band and saw them become state champions two consecutive years. Some of his fondest memories were of family summer vacations spent camping at Lake S10 George in Liberty.

He will be missed by his family and friends for his quirky sense of humor.

He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Diane; his son, Daniel, 24; and his faithful canine companions, Zoe, Max and Ziva.
