SALEM — The Salem Founders Day is scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 11, at the Salem Community Building. A yard sale will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a quilt show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Games for all ages will begin at 1:30 p.m., including a fry pan throw, hay bale toss, sack race and more. A whatever auction (whatever is donated) will take place at 3 p.m. From 4 to 6 p.m. a bean-hole bean supper will be held with hot dogs, homemade salads, rolls and desserts.
A pie-eating contest at 6 p.m. will be followed by music by A+E Hill Country.
