LEWISTON — The photography of Jim Walker is on display in the Lobby Gallery at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
Walker ‘s interest in photography developed when he bought his first 35mm camera in Korea in 1966. Since that time, he has lived and traveled extensively in the U.S., Europe and the Middle East. His travels have provided opportunities to photograph many exotic places. Walker’s portfolio includes travel photos, photos of nature, birds, seascapes and landscapes.
Walker also enjoys photojournalism. He has photographed former President George Bush’s daughters, Barbara and Jenna, as well as former President George H.W. Bush and former First Lady Barbara Bush.
Walker is a member of the Capital Area Camera Club and participates in their exhibitions, juried shows and other activities. His work was chosen for inclusion for the past three years in the Maine Photography Show in Boothbay. His photos have also been displayed at Gallery 5 and L/A Arts Gallery and various restaurants around Lewiston.
