AUBURN — The Central Maine Community College Corporate and Community Services Department will offer “The FISH! Philosophy” from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, Aug. 6. The cost of the workshop is $49 and includes lunch.

The philosophy uses an engaging metaphor as a model to improve employee retention, create internal and external customer service and prevent stress and burnout. It provides the process, tools and language to generate the skills necessary to design a workplace full of inspiration, creativity and innovation.

The program is part of the department’s Picnic Series, which will also include the “Give ‘em the Pickle” workshop on Thursday, Aug. 13, and the “Who Moved My Cheese?” workshop on Thursday, Aug. 20. Each session is $49 or $125 for all three with lunch included.

The workshops will be facilitated by Julie Guerin. Guerin has more than 18 years experience in customer service and training, working for a major retailer in Maine.
