NEW VINEYARD — A New Vineyard man was injured Friday afternoon after he blacked out and his car left Route 27 and struck a tree, State Police Trooper Randy Keaten said.
Arthur Messier, 73, was northbound on the road when the accident occurred, Keaten said.
Messier was taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington by a NorthStar Emergency Medical Services ambulance with minor injuries, he said.
Among those injuries was a cut on his face from airbag deployment.
New Vineyard firefighters helped get Messier out of his car and also performed traffic control.
Messier’s 1997 Buick LeSabre was totaled, Keaten said.
