AUBURN — Family and friends of Mark Clements and Margaret (Peggy) Keene Clements of Gorham, formerly of Auburn, surprised them June 6 with a 25th wedding anniversary celebration.
The celebration began at St. Philip’s Church in Auburn, where the couple were married 25 years ago. Rev. Connoly of St. Anne’s Church in Gorham officiated at the renewal of vows and celebrated the Mass with the Clements children, Meghan, Mark, Maureen and Meredyth assisting. A family friend, Jann Biron of Auburn, provided the music.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the parents of Mrs. Clements, Gene and Marlene Keene in Minot. The couple’s children presented their parents with the gift of a photo album and personal letters.
Guests attended from Lewiston, Auburn, Gorham, Portland, Bangor, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Connecticut.
The family will conclude the 25th anniversary celebration with a family trip to Disney World in late June.
