AUBURN — Memorial services honoring the life of Harold J. Witham were held Saturday at the East Auburn Baptist Church with the Rev. Roger Cousineau presiding. Andrea Tedesco and Kathi Varney sang “Blessed Assurance” as a duet during the service. Words of remembrance were shared by Lucas Witham, Randy Corey, Pastor Cousineau, Stuart Bell read a tribute to Papa and Harold’s son, Tim read a letter about his Dad, as well as other family and friends. A video tribute was given during the service which was produced by Audrey Bell. The hymn “He Lives” was sung by Marc Casavant accompanied by organist, Roy Williams and pianist, Dave Bryant. Just before the conclusion of services, the U.S. Army honor detail played “taps” and presented our country’s flag to Harold’s wife, Betty for services rendered by her husband to his country during the Korean Conflict. A reception then followed in the church hall. On Monday morning, graveside committal prayers were recited before the burial by the Rev. Cousineau at the Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Augusta.
