Girl Scouts offering baby-sitting program

MEXICO — Girl Scouts of Maine will offer a “Baby-sitting 101” program for girls in grades four and up in the Rumford/Mexico area.The class will be held from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at the Mexico Congregational Church.The program will include getting a babysitting business started, playtime ideas for children of all ages, understanding the likes and dislikes of children, troubleshooting and solutions to the most common problems a babysitter faces and Babysitting 101 certification and badge.The cost of $15 includes a $10 Girl Scout membership fee. Assistance is available for the fee.
