HARRISON — As part of its Music for Kids concerts, the Sebago-Long Lake Music Festival will give three performances of “Ferdinand the Bull and Other Fabulous Fiddle Fables” at Deertrees Theater and Oxford Hills High School in Paris.

Music for Kids programs are designed as a fun introduction to classical music for families and children from age 5 to 12.

“Ferdinand the Bull and Other Fabulous Fiddle Fables” will feature string instruments. Musicians in the five-week festival will perform short selections which “tell stories” and demonstrate the capabilities of string instruments. Guest performers are violinist Cara Pogossian, age 10, cellist Edward Pogossian, 12, and young singer Julia Bailen.

“Ferdinand the Bull” will be presented at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, at Deertrees and at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 23, at the high school. One performance of “Going with the Winds,” which introduces wind instruments, will be given at Oxford Hills High School at 1 p.m.Thursday, July 30.

Tickets, purchased at the door, are $4/$5 at Deertrees Theatre; $2/$4 at Oxford Hills High School. All participants of the LOOK program and their families will be admitted free at the high school concerts.
