Dear Sun Spots: Does anyone know the words to “Little Susie Snowflake, tap, tapping at the window”? My sister is looking for this poem or song and couldn’t find it online.

Thanks so much. — Lewiston reader

Answer: Rosemary Clooney wrote and recorded “Suzy Snowflake” between 1951 and 1956, a yuletide favorite that has since been recorded by dozens of other artists. Here are the lyrics:

Here comes Suzy Snowflake; Dressed in a snow white gown;Tap, tap, tappin’ at your windowpane; To tell you she’s in town.

Here comes Suzy Snowflake; Soon you will hear her say; Come out everyone and play with me: I haven’t long to stay.

If you wanna make a snowman; I’ll help you make one, one, two three; If you wanna take a sleigh ride; The ride’s on me.

Here comes Suzy Snowflake; Look at her tumblin’ down; Bringing joy to every girl and boy; Suzy’s come to town.

These four lines are repeated in a second refrain to complete the song.

Dear Sun Spots: Is there anyone in the Rumford area who could use some used greeting cards? I have several for different occasions I’d like to give away. — C.R., Roxbury

Answer:  If you have any need for these cards, please write back to Sun Spots with your name and address, which we can publish so our Roxbury reader can drop these items in the mail.

Dear Sunspots: Your column was once of great assistance in locating a local craftsman, and we find ourselves once again in need of another.
We are wondering if there is someone in the Lewiston-Auburn area that repairs and resurfaces fiberglass bathtubs? All our attempts to locate someone have not been successful. We can be contacted via email at Maheux1441@roadrunner.com with any informtion.

Answer: According to the good folks at Redlon & Johnson on Middle Street in Lewiston, repairing and resurfacing fiberglass bathtubs is a skill in great demand right now. They suggested you try Steve Corro at 783-5944 for a quote. We talked with Steve, and he’s happy to take your call.

Dear Sun Spots:You have been so helpful in the past, I read your
column daily. I am looking for a hubcap for a Subaru Impreza. I’m
willing to pay a reasonable price.
Also, I’m looking for
this item produced by Avon: “Be Tempting 33456.” I’ve tried to find it,
to no avail. Thank you so much for your help.– Muriel Belanger, Lewiston
