STANDISH — Mike Rollins belted a grand slam in the top of the ninth inning and drew a bases-loaded walk in the top of the 10th to lead Kennebunk to an 11-10, come-from-behind win over Bessey Motor in an American Legion play-in game at St. Joseph’s College on Saturday.

Trailing by three, Rollins watched Bessey walk Rob Nutter ahead of him to load the bases, and blasted the ball over the fence to put his squad on top by a run.

Bessey got that run back in the bottom of the ninth on a Kyle Farrar solo shot.

Nutter plated one run in the top of the 10th before Rollins’ walk put the visitors ahead by two.

Matt Verrier led off the home half of the 10th with a home run, and Bessy put the tying run on base, but couldn’t plate him.

Nate Dubois went nine innings for Bessey (14-7) and suffered the loss. Cody Hadley also popped one over the fence for Bessey in the losing effort.
