Jake Dunham and local teens, better known as The Children’s Backyard Theater, will present "Crisis on 13th Avenue" July 31 and Aug. 1-2 at Lovell Brick Church for the Performing Arts. The play, written and directed by Dunham, involves mystery, murder and intrigue. Dunham organized The Children’s Backyard Theater Group when he was in fifth grade, starting with "The wizard of Oz.” Since then, the group has grown and staged "Charlie and The Chocolate factory,” "Clue," "Hocus Pocus" and “Crowed House.” Due to implied violence, this show is not recommended for persons under 10 years of age. Doors open at 7 p.m., with the show beginning at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free, though donations will be gratefully accepted at the door.
