AUBURN – The Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, encompassing the Catholic churches, St. Philips, St. Louis and Sacred Heart, held a kick-off meeting on July 9 at St. Louis Church to formalize plans for their second annual harvest fair.

The meeting was convened by Alita Rioux, co-chairwoman, and was attended by parishioners from all three churches. There was considerable interest in expanding the fair to include more artisans and crafters. There was also excitement about using St. Dominic Regional High School’s gymnasium for the event.

The committee plans to expand the fair’s profits to assist the finances of all three churches.

The harvest fair will end with a turkey dinner, sponsored by the Andy Valley Knights of Columbus, to be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at the St. Dom’s High School cafeteria, immediately after the close of the fair.

The next committee meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 30, at St. Philips Church. For more information, contact Rioux at 966-3699.
